Healthy for Baby.
Good for Mother Earth.
The philosophy of natural living goes back to my family roots. My family's history in
When I became pregnant with my first son almost 4 years ago, I was instantly concerned about how I could keep toxins out of his environment, suddenly researching more and more on this topic than I ever had before. The more I researched, the more I discovered how dangerous and prolific toxins are in our environment, particularly those coming from our homes and from the products in direct contact with our bodies.
In my quest for "cleaner" baby products, I quickly realized that the selection and quality of products in the stores in my area was very poor. If and when I was able to find organic, bamboo, and wool, PVC & BPA-free products, the selection was small and the products were simply very plain and unattractive (and what mother doesn’t want cute things for her baby?) This led me to the Internet, where I eventually found a handful of products that I really liked, however, shopping was time consuming because everything I found seemed to be from a different store, some that I trusted and some that I did not.
This dilemma eventually encouraged me to start my own store, Nest by Nature, featuring the products that I painstakingly researched while looking for products for my own baby – organic, chemical free products that are also durable and stylish - all in one place! My hope is that moms can shop at my store with confidence, knowing the products have been carefully selected to be safe for our homes, our children, and our planet, not to mention, some of the best products around, organic or otherwise. Mothers who wish to provide a natural environment for their babies can create a natural, organic, and eco-friendly Baby Gift Registry, so that they don’t end up with a nursery full of chemical laden products, but rather a more natural product selection that they will feel comfortable using on and near their precious little ones.
